J&R Farm is proud to operate a herd share program as provided for under title 25-5.5-117 of the Colorado Revised Statutes. This is a program in which a person may legally obtain raw milk for his own use. A herd share program is a contract between J&R Farm and a buyer. The contracts main points are:

• A bill of sale for a percentage interest in the herd.
• A boarding agreement between J&R Farm and the buyer.
  Included in this agreement is a monthly boarding fee to be paid to J&R Farm for the care and feeding of the share, and for the processing of milk and milk products from the production of the buyers share.

Here at J&R Famr the milk is handled with the utmost care and every step is taken to assure the highest quality product is produced. To help achieve this level of quality a number of steps are taken.

All milking buckets are made of high quality Stainless Steel. All milk is filtered through high quality dairy filters into glass storage containers that are then chilled as soon as possible after milking.

Milk is stored in a refrigerator used only for dairy products to await pick up by the shareholder. We believe that the quality of the milk is in the little details and every possible step is taken to make sure that the highest quality is attained.
